Why Boldbobbin exists

Digitizing software has barely moved in years. The few things you really do are buried under menus from another era. It runs on one computer, so your designs are stuck there. Most of the time you are not designing. You are working around the program.

For a shop, that is not just annoying. It costs time and money. Every hour spent wrestling a design into shape is an hour not spent selling. So is every round trip with a customer who wants to see a change before they approve it, when showing them should take a minute. And a design that goes out worse than it could have been is a customer who orders once.

Boldbobbin is meant to take that off you. One workspace, in your browser or on your desktop, with the same designs in both. Turning a picture into stitches that behave on fabric is the hard part. That should be the software's job, not yours.

That part is what I know. I studied computer graphics and modern geometric modeling systems, and worked with diffusion models. Not much of that has reached embroidery yet. I think some of it can help here, and that is what I am trying to build.
