This Cookie Policy explains how Boldbobbin GmbH (“Boldbobbin”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device that help us recognize users, personalize content, and improve site performance.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

  • Essential Cookies: Required for basic functionality, such as logging in and navigation. These are always active.
  • Analytics Cookies: Help us understand usage patterns via Google Analytics. These are disabled by default and are only set after you accept them. Google may store this data outside of Switzerland or the EU.
  • Analytics Storage (first party): If you accept analytics, we also store a randomly generated identifier on your device and use it to count how many people read our tutorial and how far through it they get. It is generated in your browser, it holds nothing about you, it is not shared with anyone, and it is stored on our own servers in the EU rather than by a third party. Clearing your browser storage removes it.
  • Marketing Cookies: Set by the Reddit Ads pixel, which tells us whether an advertisement led someone to sign up or subscribe, and lets us show ads to people who have visited the site. These are disabled by default and are only set after you accept them. Reddit may store this data outside of Switzerland or the EU.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it does not set cookies or track you across sites, and therefore does not require consent.

3. Cookie Consent

When you first visit the site, a dialog asks you to accept or decline the non-essential categories above. You can accept all of them, reject all of them, or choose category by category. Analytics and marketing cookies stay disabled until you accept them, and declining is always as easy as accepting.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the controls below or through your browser settings. Because these categories cover different purposes, we ask you again if we introduce a purpose your previous answer did not cover.

Your choice is saved on your device and applies the next time you visit.

4. Measurement Outside Your Browser

If you accept marketing cookies and later subscribe, we send Reddit a record of that subscription from our own server rather than from your browser, so that the advertisement can be credited correctly. It contains the purchase amount and identifiers that let Reddit match it to your ad click. We send nothing at all if you have not accepted marketing cookies.

5. Managing Cookies

You can also disable or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features of the site may not work properly if essential cookies are disabled.
